I’ve spent the last 6+ years working for and consulting MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) - which are independently owned cellphone providers. I’ve worked exclusively for startups and thrive in a do first + beg for forgiveness environment. Focusing my career in B2C has allowed me to pursue my passion of building awesome things for everyday people. I excel in finding the problems / opportunities of a product (using data!), while solving them with the latest methodologies. I’m a guy who’s fine being the punching bag - so long as we move in the right direction and get shit done.
Mobi is a Hawaiian based MVNO. Under new ownership, we're hoping to bring Mobi to the next level - utilizing digital activation services, great prices, and amazing customer service.

Ting is a division of Tucows (NASDAQ: TCX) and is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) providing phone service in the United States.
I began work on Ting the year we launched, and led the operational side of our product. I managed a team of PMs working cross-functionally to build and create digital, user-centric products. Over my tenure at Ting, we grew from 3,000 to 280,000+ subscriptions and have been featured as the number 1 ranked cell phone provider via Consumer Reports for the last 3 years running.

During my first year at Tucows, one of the product managers left to pursue a new opportunity which gave me the opportunity to become the lead product manager. I accepted the challenge and have since been a lead in the Ting product.
During my time as a Product Manager, we completed major iterations to most of our site: homepage, rates, coverage, and the dashboard. We also completely rebuilt our shop and catalogue system as well as completed major iterations to our BYOD product. We on-boarded a new partner (T-Mobile) and began offering our service across two networks. During this time we grew our subscribers by 68%, all while boasting one of the lowest retention scores (sub 3%) across the industry.

I came to Ting as the brands second product manager. The combination of a small team and the natural responsibilities of a startup quickly allowed me to develop and learn in a quick moving - agile environment. I began work on optimizing our activation and device ordering flows while working with our support team to put out fires and ensure our early adopters we're continually satisfied. My first major project was leading the beta and launch of the 'bring your own device' (BYOD) program. Today, Ting BYOD accounts for 80% of our current subscriptions and has been the driving force in our growth.

I had several marketing related responsibilities at Roots. My primary focus was optimizing our email campaigns. I worked in Exact Target where I helped determine the content of our emails, the scheduling, along with extensive and weekly A/B testing to optimizing our clickthrough and conversion rates. We were able to increase our conversion by 25% during my tenure.
I also helped in our social media efforts managing our Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr scheduling along with the natural customer support inquiries that would arise.
